The longest day

Left home at 6:35 am, Sat 10/22 [8:35 pm Korea]

Arrived in hotel room at 6:45 am, Sun 10/23 [8:45 pm Korea]

Good flight, long, but they took good care of us. The funny thing about looking at flat maps is you don't consider that the shortest path to someplace might not be traveling East to West. Our flight path was north, over Alaska and the Bering Sea. Flight Path Never would have occurred to me to fly North to get from Dallas to Seoul, when they're at close to the same longitude. God bless the big blue marble!

We're staying at a Ramada. :) Strange and unfamiliar as things feel, I just travelled 1/2 way around the world to stay in a Ramada.

Haven't seen much yet, but first impressions are that the people are kind and polite. It seems to be a land of skyscrapers, bridges and tunnels. And Koreans like neon lights.

Feeling more Baggins-y the longer the day goes on, and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. Signing off with the hope that a decent night sleep will restore my inner Took, my courage, and my sense of adventure.
